We Can’t Live Like This Initiative Driving Users to Safer Habits
Drive Safe Alabama, a division of the Alabama Department of Transportation
Drive Safe Alabama (DSA) was created as part of the Alabama Department of Transportation’s (ALDOT) Strategic Highway Safety Plan to brand the safety efforts developed under the plan. In 2018, ALDOT tasked Stamp with creating a new campaign to support the Drive Safe Alabama initiative in three key areas: seat belt safety, drinking and driving, and distracted driving. Using Alabama crash facts data and focus groups, the “We Can’t Live Like This” campaign was born.
TV spots were created for distracted driving and seat belt safety, and were broadcast on TV (including OTT networks) and social media statewide in Fall 2018. Social platforms had over 940,000 impressions and over 621,000 views.
Snap Chat ads for seat belt safety, drinking and driving, and distracted driving had over 1.1 million impressions and 66,000 views.
Outdoor boards for distracted driving and seat belt safety were placed around the state. We placed 13 boards in Alabama major markets that garnered 6,760,376 impressions.
ALDOT continued to run the campaign in 2019 due to its successful reach.
