Drive Safe Alabama Initiative Driving Users to Safer Habits

Drive Safe Alabama (DSA) was created as part of the Alabama Department of Transportation’s (ALDOT) Strategic Highway Safety Plan to brand the safety efforts developed under the plan. The initiative was a cornerstone of the Toward Zero Death (TZD) campaign, the goal of which is reducing driver-related fatalities towards zero over a 25-year period by informing and promoting to the public the need for safer driving habits. In 2013, ALDOT tasked Stamp with creating a website and other campaign elements to support the Drive Safe Alabama initiative. Stamp developed a series of marketing pieces for a number of road safety topics, collectively calling them Keys to Safety. Each series combines a creative mix of weighty facts with direct and compelling visuals to convey the seriousness of consequences of one’s actions. Each series can include any number of the following: out-of-home, radio, television, traditional, web, social and additional avenues. The Keys to Safety are all tied together on the website that allows the client to promote any of the elements relevant to the current efforts. The website is managed with a robust content management system allowing the client the ability to post the latest news items, crash facts, video and more.
