Stamp gives back. CAN you?

Montgomery, AL – Stamp Idea Group, a Montgomery, AL-based full-service advertising, interactive and media firm, will donate over 500 hours of creative services to aid non-profit organizations in an intense 24-hour creative blitz known as CreateAthon®. During this annual event, Stamp provides services to selected non-profits that could include strategic marketing planning, brand development, copywriting and design on projects such as websites, print advertising and collaterals, broadcast advertising such as TV and radio as well as social media. The CreateAthon® event will be held at the firm’s Montgomery office on February 26-27, 2015. 

Stamp selected eight non-profits in the River Region to participate in this year’s event. The selected non-profits are: Sickle Cell Foundation of Greater Montgomery, Friends of the Alabama Governor’s Mansion, Urban SEED Xchange, Jubilee Run for Cancer, Medical AIDS Outreach of Alabama, River Region United Way, Montgomery Education Foundation and Montgomery Area Food Bank. Through a Facebook contest Stamp asked the community to vote for the ninth CreateAthon client. Renascence, Inc. won the majority vote and will be this year’s final non-profit to participate in this year’s event. 

Want to know how you CAN help too? In celebrating their 13th this year’s involvement with CreateAthon®, Stamp has decided to incorporate a canned food drive into their event. With a goal to collect 1,300 cans/or dollars in five days, they need your help! For added incentive to donate cans there are three prize levels: 

  • 10 cans/or $10 – Donor gets picture taken by wall of cans display to be posted on social media 
  • 25 cans/or $25 – Donor gets to challenge any Stamp employee to a ping-pong match 
  • 50 cans/or $50 – Donor gets to challenge Mayor Todd Strange to a ping-pong match* 

*Note: ping-pong with the Mayor will be scheduled at a future date 

All cans need to be delivered to Stamp’s downtown office located at 111 Washington Avenue. They will start collecting cans on Monday, February 23rd at 8:00am and will end on Friday, February 27th at 5:00pm. All cans donated to Stamp will be given to the Montgomery Area Food Bank in addition to their requested marketing services. 

An intense 24-hour creative blitz, CreateAthon® is a national program where marketing services are provided to non-profits on a pro bono basis. Annually, Stamp provides in excess of $50,000 of pro-bono agency services leading up to and during the CreateAthon® event. This event will mark Stamp’s 13th year of participation in CreateAthon® and in 2015, the firm will celebrate 56 years in business.
